This 39-acre park project entailed the expansion of an existing recreation complex to include football & soccer fields, concession stands, shelters and other park amenities. This project was completed on-time in spite of one of the most unusual site conditions ever encountered. This site, unbeknownst to the planners of this project, was used as an illegal animal burial ground for over twenty years. Excavations for utility lines soon revealed the remains of thousands of animals. Bandes Construction was employed, under the supervision of OSHA and the Health Department, to dispose of the remains. The project was delivered on time and is one of many.
